Results

The stimulation leads to the Meibomian glands returning to their normal function in a very short time following the treatment.

This improvement will last for about a week after the initial treatment, two to three weeks following the second treatment, then from a couple of months onward. The effect is cumulative.

The ocular globe would need to be protected by a haptic contact lens.
Results obtained two months after the third treatment:

• Patients classified as level 1 have improved by one level.
• Patients classified as level 2 (Oxford classification) have improved by one or two levels.
• Patients classified from level 3 to 4 have improved by one to two levels.
